JGM has played a significant role in the revitalization of the Los Angeles region.

Working with local and state officials, JGM has directed or partnered on important

civic projects that are at the core of Los Angles' central business district's

revitalization. This includes the redevelopment of the Bunker Hill District, the

Staples Center, the LA Convention Center and Exposition Park, as well as

under served communities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

  Corona, CA   Corona   City Hall  

JGM provided architectural design services for this prominent Inland Empire Civic Campus, comprising of a 125,000 s.f. City Hall with Council Chambers and City Departments distributed around a series of courtyards, parking for 600 vehicles recessed behind landscaped berms and a 6,300 s.f. Child Care Center.


California Plaza   Los Angeles, CA   City of Los Angeles   California Plaza   Phases I and II, supporting the development of California Plaza, required comprehensive design services, including construction administration and inspection activities. Phase I included a 52-story office tower located in the heart of the Bunker Hill/fine arts district.

Los Angeles City Hall   Los Angeles, CA   City of Los Angeles   City Hall Seismic Restoration & Renovation   The restoration of the Los Angeles City Hall marks an important milestone in the revitalization of the downtown business core. Construction and Project management services continue to support the project due to a substantial amount of visible structural damage throughout much of the 29-story landmark.

Hyperion Treatment Plant   Los Angeles, CA   Hyperion Water Treatment Facility   Hyperion Treatment Plant   As one of the world's largest and most sophisticated wastewater treatment facilities, the Hyperion Water Treatment Facility is a vital component of the Southern California region. The Hyperion program involved new construction, rehabilitation and general expansion on a multitude of projects.

USC Memorial Coliseum   Los Angeles, CA   University of Southern California   Memorial Coliseum Seismic Rehabilitation   The complete restoration and rehabilitation of another Los Angeles landmark was undertaken due to substantial damage sustained following the Northridge earthquake of January 1994. Two design scenarios for the press boxes were examined and provided by the team as was an analysis of the entire stadium's infrastructure.

Lynwood Correctional Lynwood, CA City of Lynwood Lynwood Regional Justice Center The Lynwood Correctional Facility is a minimum and midlevel security (Type I and II) criminal justice center serving Lynwood and the neighboring unincorporated communities of Florence, Firestone, Walnut Park, Willowbrook and East Compton.

  Los Angeles, CA   City of Los Angeles   Proposition Q Public Safety Bond - LAPD Hollenbeck Replacement Station   The Turner/JGM Team was selected in 2003 to assist the City of Los Angeles in implementing the project and construction management tasks related to Proposition Q. This bond initiative mandated the revitialization and new construction of police and fire facilities across the Los Angeles Basin.


Los Angeles, CA Yuri Boiarsky, Psomas/City of Los Angeles Zoo Bond Program Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens JGM is developing a Campus Wide Telephone and Data Infrastructure Master Plan for the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens that will accommodate the current and future needs of the staff, tenants and visitors.
