In response to the September 11th events and in compliance with newly mandated U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements for facility operations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Los Angeles World Airports developed a two-phase process to satisfy current and future Federal security requirements. Phase 1 of the process focused upon assessment of existing conditions and the formulation of alternative solutions. Phase 2 (currently underway) focuses upon implementation of approved and adopted solutions.

As the Prime Consultant selected to execute Los Angeles World Airports’s Phase 1 scope of work, the JGM Team evaluated LAX facility requirements, recommended both immediate and long-term improvements in adherence to Federal Aviation Administration security guidelines and prepared interim reports, short term reports and cost estimates.
Pursuant to successful completion of Phase 1, the JGM Team was asked to conduct Phase 2 implementation. Phase 2 deliverables consist of a Prepartion of Construction Bid Plans, Technical Specifications and Construction Cost Estimate (Unit Cost and Quantity) for the Northwest and Southwest Security Enhancements. In addition, the JGM Team is currently providing Construction Administration.
