JGM provided complete A/E services for this prominent and growing Inland Empire City. In developing the 11-acre central city site the JGM team was charged with creating an urban campus and capitalizing upon the wealth of old-growth trees at the center of the site.
Reflective of the existing structures classical organization, JGM provided the City with a facility which honored not only the existing City Hall but also the Spanish Mission style mandated by the City’s Specific Plan. JGM built upon the character of the existing City Hall, developing a succession of distinguishable elements, the central entry, the linear arcade, as well as the vertical compositional framing of the windows at the entries to develop a new facility that could co-exist with the well know City Hall while fulfilling the requirements of the specific plan’s Spanish Mission Style. Landscaping further reinforced the timeless nature of the existing facility, while utilizing plant material to reinforce building entrances and public open spaces. The use of draught tolerant planting and gray water irrigation were high priorities for both JGM and the City.

In the final scheme, JGM provided a 136,760 sf City Hall, a 6,300 sf Day Care facility, a 7,000 sf Central Plant, lushly landscaped parking for 600 cars as well as 2 acres of open space surrounded by old-growth trees creating a large common green between the existing City Hall and the New City Hall.
