About this Project

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) operates the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the third busiest airport complex in the World, Ontario International Airport (ONT), Palmdale International Airport (PMD) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY).
Work for LAWA has included: New passenger terminals for ONT, designed to handle 10 million annual passengers and valued at 130 million USD; Remote Boarding Gates at LAX, providing extra security for visiting heads-of -state, and overflow capacity from the Tom Bradley International Terminal; Security Implementation Plans for LAX, Transportation Security Administration mandated development of alternative solutions for airside, landside, perimeter, parking structures and miscellaneous facilities; Southside Airfield and New Large Aircraft (NLA) Studies for LAX, focused upon runway incursion issues, as well as terminal and airfield modifications for the Airbus A-380 Super Jumbo, scheduled for a 2005 launch; management of Environmental Impact Review for the new LAX Master Plan; and joint venture member of Advanced Master Planning team for the reconstruction of LAX.
