About this Project

The overall design character was established by unique collaboration between the community and the JGM deign team.
A series of design workshops were held with the local community as a means to build consensus on the overall design character of the center. Its proximity to a historic district required that special attention be given to materials selection, color, and treatment.
The complex is designed to house a full -service Ralph’s store in addition to the smaller community serving retail uses.
The complex, which includes generous landscaping, surface parking, and freight delivery area, comprises one of the few full-service supermarkets in South Central Los Angeles.
